The police carried out searches in Rome, Savona and Caserta against three young people aged between 20 and 26 who are being investigated for propaganda and incitement to crime based on racial, ethnic and religious discrimination committed online.

According to the investigation, the three, who declared themselves "Third Position" members, used instant messaging platforms such as Telegram to spread ideas related to supremacism, anti-Semitism, and the defense of national identity, and in online conversations they expressed violent intentions, including the use of weapons.

The searches, which began at dawn on July 9, involved the Postal Police and DIGOS (Special Operations Unit) of the three Italian provinces.

Operation "Militia" is coordinated by the Lombardy Cyber Security Operations Center and directed by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office, with operational coordination by the Postal Police and Cyber Security Service and the Central Directorate of Prevention Police.

During the searches, computer devices were seized, as well as blank-firing and airsoft guns, truncheons, knives, flags, manuscripts, books, and other propaganda material.
