Misadventure with a happy ending for three Sardinian tourists on a trip to Rome. The three women got lost in the middle of the night on the streets of the capital and took a bus, only to realize later that it was not the right one to go back to the hotel.
At that point, desperate, they asked the bus driver for help, now at the end of the journey. And Gianni, this is his name - as a true gentleman - did not think twice and decided to help them: "Take a taxi or wait for me to finish work and I'll take you in my car", he told them. So it was.
Once back in Sardinia, the three women wrote a letter to Atac, to officially and publicly thank their savior.
"She was a very kind and very helpful person - says one of them, Matilde - I don't think others would have had such shrewdness towards three strangers".
"I identified with them", explained Gianni, an Atac driver since 1988. "I have a wife and two daughters - he adds - I could not have left them alone in an unknown city". And he closes: "Driving is my life and I try to do my job better".
