Inmates escape from juvenile prison in Palermo: one returns and sets fire

Escape from Malaspina prison in Palermo.

Three young inmates escaped by lowering themselves from the walls using a textbook trick: they created a rope using woven sheets . Two have already been found and one of them, returning to his cell, started a fire while railing against the prison police officers and causing wounds on his body with sharp objects.

Investigations are underway by the police and the prison police to track down the last escapee: the only one missing from the list is a young Tunisian.

A police helicopter is busy with the search.
