They try to save a family from the flames but fall down a cliff: two firefighters die

Tragedy in Nova Siri (Matera) where two firefighters died while trying to put out a fire.

They were trying to save a family, with a man bedridden in the house, whose home was threatened by the fire. But during the firefighting operations the two slipped into a canal and were then engulfed in flames.

It happened this afternoon, around 4pm. According to what was learned, both victims were 45 years old and from Matera.
