The Ponte dell'Industria in Rome reopens seventy days after the fire that damaged it.
The so-called “Iron Bridge”, an essential link between the Ostiense and Portuense districts, can be crossed again for vehicles up to 3.5 tons (as before the fire on 3 October).
It was inaugurated today by the mayor Roberto Gualtieri together with the councilor for Public Works Ornella Segnini, the transport owner Eugenio Patanè and the representatives of the interested municipalities.
Gualtieri spoke of a "rapid and timely reopening that restores oxygen to an entire quadrant". Quotini announced that it is still the intention of the Capitol "to restructure it to increase its load and, although not substantially, its size".
