And above all, the elderly had felt great pride in this young religious man who had chosen to reach a remote village to bring the word of God.

But the truth came out in a few days.

The priest fell in love with a woman and ran away with her. Parish activities have been suspended.

The community now talks about nothing else. Some say they have suspected the existence of that relationship for a while, others were totally surprised.

The Curia, which seems to have listened to some people who would have noticed confidential attitudes between the priest and the woman, took action, also because this is the Christmas period in which there are many celebrations to follow, and sent a replacement.
