«Stability is not a record to be shown, but the condition that
allows a nation to plan, decide, maintain the
commitments and ensuring they are respected." This is what the Prime Minister wrote
Meloni on the day her government becomes the longest-lasting
of the history of the Republic, surpassing Berlusconi II with
1,413 days since the swearing-in.
"We have worked to increase employment, support families and businesses, strengthen security, manage public finances seriously, and restore Italy's credibility on the international stage. The results are there, but we know how much remains to be done," Meloni added.
"It's no coincidence," the prime minister said, "that the three longest-serving governments have all now been led by the center-right: stability is built when an alliance shares values and goals, not if the only reason for staying together is to prevent others from governing."
Tonight, to celebrate the milestone, Meloni and other government officials will be in Bari at the Brothers of Italy party.
