The wedding of Gianni Vattimo , an 86-year-old philosopher from Turin , with his 38-year-old assistant , Simone Caminada , scheduled in Vimercate (Monza), has been suspended by order of the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office.

Caminada is in fact on trial in Piedmont on charges of circumventing an incompetent person. According to the Turin prosecutor's office, he would have deceived his partner in order to have access to his assets . The wedding would have been celebrated by Roberto Rampi, former Pd senator. The civil union was blocked when, during a check by the Vimercatese Registry, the criminal proceedings against the future husband came out.

On 13 December , during the hearing of the trial against the 38-year-old, the magistrate requested the suspension of the wedding , pending the sentence, a request which was then sent to the Municipality.
