The death toll worsens after the collapse recorded at Vele di Scampia . Patrizia Della Ragione, 53, died at the Cardarelli hospital in Naples, where she was hospitalized for polytrauma (also with ruptured spleen and fractured pelvis).

She was the mother of Roberto Abbruzzo, the first victim of the collapse, aged 29. While the other dead woman, Margherita Della Ragione, 35, was Patrizia's niece. The latter was also the grandmother of the four and seven year old girls who were seriously injured (they are still in critical condition in intensive care) together with other little ones aged 10, 9 and 2, who underwent surgery for fractures.

Giuseppe and Luisa Abbruzzo, aged 34 and 23 respectively, children of Patrizia Della Ragione, are hospitalized in the Ospedale del Mare, Giuseppe in serious conditions.

The 800 people displaced from Vela Celeste, where a balcony collapsed, spent the night outside their homes. 300 will be able to return to their homes but it will be necessary to complete the operations to make the homes safe and restore the water supply after a broken water pipe. For the other 500 the most appropriate solutions are being studied.
