A night of terror erupted at a gas station on the outskirts of Reggio Emilia: around 7 p.m., a young man, for no apparent reason, attacked a 57-year-old woman from Scandiano who was filling up with fuel with a screwdriver.
He then drove off and intentionally hit two people—a 26-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man—who had stopped to help the woman, before fleeing. He was identified and arrested about an hour later: he is a 26-year-old man born in Reggio Emilia.
The three injured were taken to the hospital with code 3 injuries and are in serious condition. The boy was taken into custody by the State Police, Carabinieri, and local police. His psychological condition is being assessed. The motives are still being ascertained.
