A 72-year-old craftsman living in the Turin area will have to answer for fraudulent declaration in the trial that will open in April at the court of Ivrea. The man was sent to trial for having evaded taxes in 2016, using tax money to support the medical care of his daughter, who suffered from a serious liver disease. The investigation was triggered by an investigation by the Revenue Agency.
The man allegedly invoiced non-existent transactions and then avoided paying taxes to the tax authorities. Once he admitted his responsibilities, the craftsman started a debt repayment plan , which, however, did not stop the criminal proceedings.
In court in Ivrea, the seventy-two-year-old will have to prove that he acted in a state of necessity to support the expensive treatment of his daughter in the United States who, despite his efforts, later died.
