Spouses found mummified at home: "They died last autumn"

Horror in Campoformido, in the province of Udine.

Two spouses, both in their seventies, were found dead, with their bodies now mummified, in a cottage.

From a very first reconstruction it seems that they died even last autumn, probably due to a fatal gas leak.

It was a relative who sounded the alarm after all this time because apparently the couple often spent long periods abroad.

The firefighters arrived on the spot: when they opened the door, closed from the inside, they found the remains.
