A 6-year-old boy who attends the second grade at a school in Trepuzzi, in the Lecce area, was found at school with a knife in his backpack .
The incident occurred yesterday morning. The alarm was raised by the teacher, alerted by a classmate of the child. A quick check of the child's backpack revealed the presence of a knife, a 13 cm kitchen knife . The school administration was immediately alerted.
The little boy's parents and the police arrived at the school, and social services were also activated.
From what we understand, the child may have been pushed by a classmate to bring the knife to class as a result of a previous argument with other students.
The Carabinieri are proceeding with the investigations, which are being coordinated by the Lecce Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
