A 63-year-old woman living in Gioia Tauro was arrested on charges of aggravated murder. The victim, Maurizio Ansaloni, was her partner, who was killed in January 2023. Two and a half years after the crime, investigators from the Reggio Calabria Provincial Command have closed the loop and executed the precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge at the request of Palmi prosecutor Emanuele Crescenti.

Through in-depth technical investigations and testimonies collected by the Carabinieri of the Gioia Tauro Investigative Unit, with the support of the local station, the investigation has allowed the murder to be reconstructed.
