The operations of the Carabinieri began this morning in the streets of Terno d'Isola , which were closed to traffic on purpose by the mayor. They are using metal detectors to search the manholes and flowerbeds for the kitchen knife or dagger used to kill Sharon Verzeni, 33, a bartender, who had left her house for a walk during the night between 29 and 30 July in via Castegnate, in the town in the province of Bergamo.

The search is focusing on the street where the crime took place and the surrounding streets.

In the past few weeks , several knives had already been seized during searches by the Carabinieri on criminals in the area , weapons that are still being analysed by the RIS, even though none of them appear to be the ones wielded by the murderer.

The investigations into the murder , carried out for almost a month with specialized personnel and the most advanced technologies, including for the examination of images from the cameras, have not yet allowed the murderer to be identified .
