The seven-year-old boy who was hit by a car this morning while riding his bicycle on Corso Regina Margherita in Turin died this afternoon at the Regina Margherita children's hospital .
His condition immediately appeared desperate: the baby had gone into cardiac arrest. The child was rescued shortly after 8:00 a.m. by 118 paramedics, intubated, and transported to the Regina Margherita Hospital with a red flag.
After his heartbeat returned, he was taken to the operating room. He suffered severe trauma, including head and abdominal injuries. He died that afternoon despite paramedics' attempts to save him. According to initial reports, the child was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a car on the side street of Corso Regina Margherita, between Via Montebello and Via Tarino.
