With the election of Sara Nicole Cancedda , a lawyer working in Milan, originally from Gonnosnò, to the position of president of Seu, the first congress of the new federation that brings together the roots and the new blooms, old and new emigration, concluded in Florence, at the Alfieri cinema.

Alongside the grandparents who left in the late 1960s, there are their grandchildren, born far from Sardinia, who have always cultivated a bond with an island that remains close to their hearts.

On the final day, Regional Councilor for Labor and Emigration Desirè Manca spoke via video link: "I have noted with great interest and am closely following," she said, "the launch of a new process by 26 clubs that have chosen to unite in the SEU Federation. The presence of so many women and young people confirms the desire to actively contribute to a new vision of emigration, and the Region is willing to listen, value, and collaborate, with respect for all realities, with passion and enthusiasm."

Sara Nicole Cancedda highlighted how Seu is fueled by youthful energy. "We are the fruit of a generational pact. The elderly remain key figures, but the young are conquering new spaces. Together, we want to contribute to the cause of Sardinia's development."

A festive finale on stage with musician Bandito (Antonio Meleddu), a student at the Milan Conservatory, who performed a concert with the young people of Seu. Also on stage was accordion player Riccardo Atzei, originally from Paulilatino.
