Salesman shot dead: from drugs to the passionate trail, he delves into his past
Paolo Corelli, 47, was killed with two shots in the back and one in the chest while on his way to work in the supermarket where he was employed in the delicatessen department
We follow all the leads, even the passionate one, for the murder of Paolo Corelli, 47, killed yesterday with three gunshots in Rome.
The investigations by the carabinieri, coordinated by the prosecutor Stefano Luciani, do not leave out any detail of the life of Corelli, a supermarket clerk and resident in a building in Acilia considered one of the busiest dealing areas in southern Rome.
Corelli's brother, Claudio, is under house arrest for drug-related offenses, and this lead is also being plumbed by investigators.
To reconstruct what happened in via Alberto Galli yesterday morning around 6, when Paolo Corelli, like every morning, was on his way to work in the supermarket where he was in charge of the delicatessen department, the images of some security cameras in the area are also being evaluated.
Two shots were fired against the victim in the back and one in the chest, but an autopsy was ordered for a clearer picture of the dynamics.
According to the investigators, it would be a murder perhaps committed by "inexperienced hands" and in an improvised way. As proof, the fact that, despite the close range, only three of the 5 shots fired have hit the mark.
