Rubio: "I'll be in Rome and the Vatican this week for a thaw."

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to visit Italy, first the Vatican and then Rome, next Thursday and Friday for a series of meetings aimed at a "thaw."

Corriere della Sera previews this, specifying that the agenda is not yet closed and currently includes meetings "with Vatican Secretary of State Marco Parolin and with Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Defense Minister Guido Crosetto."

Rubio also reportedly asked to meet with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni .
