Yet another fatal workplace accident. A 47-year-old worker, for reasons currently under investigation, was crushed by a forklift while working inside a plastics manufacturing plant on Via Martiri Belfiore in Sant'Apollinare (Rovigo).

The Rovigo Fire Department responded to the scene around 4:30 PM with the assistance of a mobile crane. Despite the emergency services' efforts, the 118 emergency medical service unfortunately had to confirm the death. Spisal inspectors and Carabinieri officers are on site to determine the cause of the accident.
