A motorcyclist died after colliding with a wild boar last night in Rome.
The victim is Stefano Violati . Son of Fabrizio Violati, owner of the Ferrarelle and Sangemini waters until 1987, the 58-year-old was also the cousin of the husband of the actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta. He was on trial for stalking his ex.
The accident occurred in via di Santa Cornelia. Local police patrols from the XV Cassia Group are on site. The 58-year-old was transported in serious condition to Sant'Andrea hospital where he died in the following hours due to the serious injuries he sustained. The animal also died in the impact.
Investigations are still underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of what happened.
