A robbery carried out for the sole purpose of covering up a history of sexual abuse .
This is what the Prosecutor's Office of North Naples hypothesizes (prosecutor Cesare Sirignano, prosecutor Maria Antonietta Troncone), who arrested six people including two friars, one of whom is believed to have instigated the coup .
The investigations started from an anomalous robbery carried out by hooded men armed with a bat and knife against two people (one non-EU citizen). The robbers' only target was cell phones .
According to the investigators, the objective was to take possession of the phones on which the alleged victims of sexual abuse (both adults) had memorized «embarrassing images and chats to say the least which could have created serious problems for some friars of the monasteries in which the same victims had worked » .
The two religious men who ended up in prison are Father Domenico Silvestro , parish priest of the Basilica of Sant'Antonio di Afragola, in the province of Naples, and Father Nicola Gildi , who was stationed in the same parish at the time of the events and today tracked down by the Carabinieri in the "Santa Maria Servevole" of Piedimonte Matese (Caserta). Father Domenico is believed to be the instigator of a robbery commissioned last April 26 against the two men (one of whom was a non-EU citizen) victims of sexual abuse by the two prelates who intended to take possession of their cell phones on which there was evidence of the violence .
