Two people have died in a serious road accident this morning, just before eight o'clock, in Ancona. The crash, which also involved a methane gas refueling station, caused a large gas leak that prompted the Municipality to ask citizens to close their windows and not go out into the affected area. One of the two victims is a 40-year-old doctor who worked in the Medical Clinic at the Torrette hospital in Ancona. The other person, who did not have documents, is a man in his sixties. Both were waiting for the bus at the bus stop.

According to what has been reconstructed so far, the tragedy occurred after a high-powered car hit other vehicles, one of which ended up against a methane gas cabin. The car, continuing its journey, then hit the two pedestrians.

After two hours of work, the area was made safe and the gas leak was stopped.
