Riccardo Bossi, eldest son of Lega founder Umberto Bossi, was arrested yesterday in Busto Arsizio (Varese) under a sentence of 5 years and 9 months.
The order, signed by Busto Arsizio prosecutor Carlo Nocerino, was executed by the Carabinieri, who reached Bossi at his home and took him to Busto Arsizio prison.
The convictions relate to crimes from 2011 and 2020 for embezzlement, fraud, and improper receipt of citizen's income. The one-year and four-month sentence for mistreatment of his mother is excluded from the count.
Between 2020 and 2023, Bossi would have received approximately 12,800 euros in citizen's income.
