New details are emerging about the accident on Via Ripamonti, which involved a young man on a TMax scooter and a Carabinieri patrol car, and which ended tragically with the death of Ramy, who was thrown into a traffic light.

According to the reconstruction by the prosecutors, Fares, the driver of the scooter, was driving without a license and at high speeds, sometimes exceeding 120 km/h, even in the wrong direction.

At the time of the accident, at the intersection of Via Ripamonti and Via Quaranta, the scooter attempted to turn left, then suddenly veered right, striking the right rear end of the TMax against the front bumper of the officer's Giulietta. The impact caused the scooter to skid, and the young man was thrown into a traffic light pole and struck by the Carabinieri car.

Fares is therefore charged with vehicular homicide with aggravating circumstances of driving without a license and driving the wrong way.

The Prosecutor's Office, however, alleges that the Carabiniere driving the patrol car maintained an extremely close distance from the TMax, approximately 80 cm, and that he failed to avoid the collision when the scooter swerved to the right. He was also charged with complicity in vehicular homicide and the injuries to another person, Bouzidi, with a 40-day jail sentence, although the officer does not consider the incident to be solely the result of his conduct.

The investigation also led to the indictment of two additional Carabinieri officers for obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting. According to prosecutors, the officers allegedly ordered an eyewitness to delete video evidence, threatening to file a criminal complaint. Another witness was allegedly forced to delete nine video files, complicating the reconstruction of events.
