The former minister and former mayor of Rome, Gianni Alemanno , has been in Rebibbia prison since yesterday evening after being served with a revocation order for social services that had been granted by the Surveillance Court.
Alemanno, entrusted to the village "So.Spe.-Solidarietà e Speranza" of Sister Paola , had been definitively sentenced to 1 year and 10 months on charges of illicit influence peddling in one of the strands of the maxi investigation Mondo di Mezzo.
The court's decision would be linked, according to what we learn, to transgressions in compliance with the alternative penalty. Among other provisions there is the prohibition to leave his home before 7 in the morning, to return home by 21 and not to associate with criminals. Provisions that he would have violated instead.
