Investigations in Stresa , a well-known town on Lake Maggiore , in the Province of Verbania-Cusio-Ossola, where a young woman of about 20 was allegedly raped by four friends - three boys and a girl - on a free beach , at the end of an outing together.

It was the same young woman who filed a complaint with the carabinieri, who started investigations to clarify what happened .

The people involved, all of the same age, are said to be residents of the area.

The investigation is coordinated by the Verbania Prosecutor's Office.
