He managed to get her to open the door to her apartment under the pretense of asking for some milk. Once inside, he attacked her in the living room and raped her. The victim is a 19-year-old student who lives in an apartment building near the university in Pavia.

Her attacker, a 29-year-old man, was arrested by officers from the Police Headquarters' flying squad and is now in Torre del Gallo prison on charges of aggravated sexual assault.

The incident occurred yesterday morning. The 19-year-old was alone in her apartment: her boyfriend had recently left. When her neighbor knocked on the door, she wasn't at all worried: a familiar face, one she'd seen several times, was making the most banal of requests .

Once inside the house, however, the tone changed instantly and the attack began. The girl's screams attracted the attention of a neighbor, who immediately called for help. The police arrested the 29-year-old accused of the assault. The victim, in a state of shock, was taken to the emergency room of San Matteo Hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and released after several hours.
