Thousands of people gathered in Rome to protest the war and justice reform.
In Piazza dell'Esquilino, protesters lit smoke bombs and then burned two posters depicting Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, one with Minister Nordio. The first image showed the prime minister holding the Justice Minister on a leash and muzzle. Above it was the slogan: "No to your referendum."
The second photograph showed the handshake between Meloni and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu with the caption: “No to your genocide, 75,000 civilians killed, 2 million displaced.”
Demonstrations against the US and Israeli attack on Iran also took place in other Italian cities, including Milan, Turin, and Bologna.
