The 34-year-old from Bedizzole (Brescia) who has been missing for three days was found lifeless, with a crossbow arrow in his face.

The searches had not given any results, only yesterday morning a farmer noticed the body lying in a canal and raised the alarm. But now any help was useless.

Investigations are underway to clarify what happened. At the moment the investigators exclude a case of murder, much more probable are an extreme gesture or an accident. The 34-year-old may have fired the bolt by mistake while loading the crossbow, which he regularly held.

The body has been returned to the family, the funeral will take place tomorrow.
