Palio di Siena in the name of Tittia: twelfth victory in Piazza del Campo

It's the Palio dell'Aquila, by Tittia. Giovanni Atzeni, after 34 years, has led the Contrada dell'Aquila back to victory, until recently the "grandmother" of the Palio, having not won a single race since July 3, 1992. Back then, it was Andrea Degortes, known as "Aceto," who sparked the jubilation of the contrada members. This time, it was the Sardinian-German jockey who, with 12 Palio wins, is now chasing the Piazza del Campo record.
