"For a world free from war ." With this phrase at its head, the No Kings Italy march began in Rome from Piazza della Repubblica. The demonstration will continue to Piazza San Giovanni. A large peace flag with many small "Peace" slogans is paraded.

And as the march passed through Via Cavour—while the line was still on Via Einaudi—some shopkeepers decided to lower their shutters. In Piazza dell'Esquilino, an anarchist sit-in also took place in support of Alfredo Cospito . About twenty anarchists held a banner reading "Against 41bis, the state tortures. Free Alfredo, demonstration on April 18th."
