Three firefighters and a nurse from the single emergency number 112 are under investigation for the Natisone tragedy in which Patrizia Cormos, Bianca Deros and Cristian Molnas died , swept away by the flooding torrent on 31 May.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Udine has sent the notices of investigation. The investigations, said Chief Prosecutor Massimo Lia, focused on those who managed the emergency protocol and not on the personnel who intervened on site . Therefore, the firefighters who, even in a heroic manner, tried to save the three boys aged 17, 23 and 25, are not involved. One, in particular, even tried to reach them by swimming, putting his own safety at risk.

The first interrogations are scheduled for December 4th, the alleged crime is manslaughter .

The investigators have analyzed in detail the phone records and recordings of Patrizia, who repeatedly called 112 to alert the emergency services , after being blocked together with her two friends by the sudden flooding of the stream. They have also analyzed the communications between the Sores Fvg operations room, to which the suspect in the health sector belongs, and that of the firefighters. And it is precisely that of the calls between the nurse and the firefighters that is the main aspect to be clarified .

The procedure requires the 112 operator to receive the call and forward it to the colleague at the Sores Fvg health operations centre and to the fire brigade commands that could be involved in the intervention.

The sending of the notices of investigation has shaken all the personnel of the Sores Fvg operations center and not only the nurse materially involved in the investigation. The health facility emphasizes the fact that the determination of any responsibilities on an employee who is unable to ascertain, remotely, the actual emergency conditions of the applicant, would create a dangerous precedent , if an actual omission were not configured.
