Natisone, the heroic attempt of the fireman: he tries to swim to the boys hugging each other in the river

In the video, the rescuer can be seen swimming with all his strength on the side that the boys should have followed, many minutes earlier, when the water level was still low. An action that was aborted because 23-year-old Bianca didn't know how to swim and the other two friends decided not to abandon her .
In the video the firefighter, although trained in similar interventions, is unable to get close to the boys, who meanwhile hold each other in a fraternal embrace already immortalized in many videos shot by passers-by. A few moments after the filming ended - it was learned - the firefighter had to give up so as not to risk being overwhelmed himself by the fury of the Natisone flood .
The rescuer was an employee specialized in rescue during river activities. A colleague kept him anchored with a rope to a fixed garrison in the wooded area around the Natisone. Despite this precaution, he was forced to interrupt the rescue attempt several times , until he had to give up because the current was too strong.
At the same time, his team colleagues had prepared a system of ropes, tied to the ladder truck with which they had arrived on site, which they threw from the Roman bridge in a desperate attempt to facilitate the recovery of the three boys.
Meanwhile, the search for Cristian Molnar continues, now in its seventh day. The 25-year-old is the only one of the three missing still not found. The funerals of Patrizia and Bianca were held yesterday.
