Investigations are underway to shed light on the circumstances surrounding yesterday's incident in Naples, where a 35-year-old man died in an ambulance after being tasered by Carabinieri.
Coordinating the investigation, entrusted to the military, is Naples Deputy Prosecutor Barbara Aprea, who has already interviewed several witnesses.
According to reports, a video surveillance system is active in the area . It is not ruled out that investigators may soon register some military personnel as suspects, as a necessary step in preparation for the autopsy, perhaps for excessive self-defense or manslaughter.
Before using the taser, the Carabinieri tried, but to no avail, to subdue the 35-year-old man, who was inside an apartment with his wife and daughter and was clearly in a state of alteration, using pepper spray.
