Two weeks ago, the tragic accident cost the life of Mirco Garofano, an 18-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a car while crossing the street on Via Filippo Fiorentini, in the Tiburtino district of Rome .
An accident for which Andrea Stroppa, a Roman computer scientist and considered Elon Musk's Italian contact, is now under investigation on charges of vehicular homicide . According to findings, he was the driver of the Smart car that struck Mirco on the evening of January 31st. And not far from where Mirco Garofano was struck last January, another tragedy occurred. In that case, a 69-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing.
