While riding his motorbike near Livorno, for reasons currently being investigated, he was hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction and apparently invading his lane.
According to the Tirreno, Rossi, from Livorno, 66 years old, former police commissioner of Pisa, Prato, and former deputy police commissioner in Livorno, was transported to the emergency room of the Livorno hospital with serious multiple fractures. From here he was transferred to intensive care where he was stabilized and admitted with a reserved prognosis.
He has already undergone two operations in the last few days: as far as we know, his life is not in danger.
