Motorboat splits a sailboat in two: one dead, one missing and 4 wounded

One dead, one missing and four injured people rescued .

This is the balance of the clash between a sailboat and a motorboat in the stretch of sea between the island of Giglio and the Argentario , in the province of Grosseto.

Following the collision, which took place around 5.30 pm, the sailboat would have split in two and sank. The impact, rescuers say, would have been very violent . Among the four survivors there is a seriously injured person, transported by helicopter to the hospital in Siena.

On the spot, after the alarm, the firefighters, the coast guard and two helicopters intervened.
