This morning, shortly before 6:30, there was a serious accident on Viale Fulvio Testi, a major highway leading to Monza.

Two cars were involved: an Opel Corsa and a Mercedes G-Class Brabus.

According to initial reports from local police, the SUV, headed toward the center of Milan, collided with the Opel approaching from the left at Via Esperia. The impact was extremely violent.

Three people, all young Milanese, were in the SUV: the 21-year-old driver was taken to Niguarda Hospital; a 20-year-old man was admitted to the same hospital in critical condition and is in intensive care; and a 30-year-old woman was trapped in the wreckage and is currently hospitalized at the Policlinico Hospital with a critical prognosis. Another passenger, a 23-year-old woman, was taken to San Raffaele Hospital with a yellow code. The 21-year-old, who did not have a license, was identified by medical personnel as the driver and was interviewed by local police.

The Opel driver, a 32-year-old from Naples, was traveling alone. He underwent a breathalyzer test and tested positive for drugs.
