A discussion on migration, rights, and work will take place in the Sala del Carroccio in the Campidoglio in Rome.

This morning, Saturday, May 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the national event "Migration, Rights, and Work: A Public Journey to the States General," promoted by the National Council of Diasporas and Migrations (CONADIMI), will take place.

"Institutional representatives, experts, diaspora representatives, and civil society will discuss one of the most relevant issues for the country's present and future: the relationship between migration, rights, and labor," emphasized Elizabeth Rijo, national president of CONADIMI, a project manager and social activist with extensive experience in the field of migration, and a degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture from the University of Cagliari.

Elizabeth Rijo will open and close the proceedings, coordinated by journalist Carmìna Conte. Speakers will also include Pierandrea Setzu , a criminal lawyer from the Cagliari Bar Association, committed to protecting fundamental rights and individual liberties both nationally and internationally. His presentation, "The Legal and Constitutional Vision," will address the limitations of the current regulatory framework and constitutional principles.

The event is part of the States General of Migration in Italy, launched in 2025 with the aim of promoting public and institutional debate on the issues of migration governance, rights, labor, and diasporas.
