Tajani: "A necessary choice foreseen by the treaties"

"The temporary suspension of Schengen with Spain is a necessary decision to protect the safety of our citizens and defend Europe's borders. It is a measure provided for in the treaties and now made unavoidable," Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated in X. The migrant crisis in Ceuta, he continued, "reminds us that managing the Union's borders is a shared responsibility of our countries, one towards the other.
