Meloni in Val Susa: "Organized violence from the No Tav movement, let the judiciary do its utmost."

"One hundred and twenty law enforcement officers were injured in last Saturday's clashes against the Turin-Lyon high-speed rail infrastructure. The scene is clearly visible behind us; it's not the scene of a war, it's the scene of an alleged protest. But this isn't dissent; this is organized, premeditated violence, and it must be treated as such." Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated this in a video recorded during her visit to the TAV construction site in the Susa Valley.
The Prime Minister flew to the construction site devastated during the clashes between the No Tav movement and law enforcement, along with Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi.
"We," Meloni stated, "will do everything we can to bring these people to justice, and we also ask those responsible, the judiciary, and all investigators, to do their utmost because a normal state cannot tolerate something like this."
Democratic Party Secretary Elly Schlein also commented on the clashes—which left over a hundred officers injured and caused one million euros in damage —saying, "We witnessed unacceptable, serious violence that can never be justified. We condemn violence unequivocally. Violence that affected many officers, to whom the Democratic Party has extended solidarity and support. We have always condemned all forms of violence, without hesitation or hesitation," the Democratic Party leader said.
