Since the early hours of this morning, the Carabinieri of the Livorno Provincial Command, with the support of their colleagues from the provinces of Pisa and Florence , have launched a large-scale anti-drug operation that has resulted in the execution of 15 precautionary measures. The operation, dubbed "Garibaldi," involved over 150 officers, supported by special units of the Carabinieri, canine units, and a helicopter from the Pisa Unit.

The investigation, coordinated by the Livorno Prosecutor's Office and conducted through stakeouts, tailing, and video surveillance, has uncovered a drug production, trafficking, and possession network involving dozens of individuals.

In addition to the 15 suspects subject to precautionary measures, another 38 have been served with search warrants . Of these, 22 are found to be illegal immigrants in Italy: expulsion proceedings have been initiated against them.

Details of the operation will be announced during a press conference called by the Carabinieri at 10 a.m. at the Livorno Provincial Command.
