I ask all politicians to stand united. Take unanimous action to ensure that tragedies like Lorena's never happen again. Work in schools, strengthen anti-violence centers, and strengthen regulatory frameworks to ensure this never happens again. I ask this of you with all my heart. A hug to all Italian women.
Franco Isceri, father of Lorena, the woman killed by her ex who threw her from an overpass on the A1 motorway , has tears streaming down his face.
The man launched a video appeal on social media addressed to the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister and all politicians.
"I'm Franco Isceri, Lorena's father, a devastated father," the man says, speaking slowly. "Take measures to ensure that tragedies like Lorena's never happen again." Lorena, he adds, "was well-mannered, studious, dedicated to her studies and work. She had many dreams, but now she no longer has them." And with her, on that overpass, the man concludes, "the will to live of a destroyed family is also buried."
