Manuela A., the 43-year-old woman in prison for the unintentional homicide of her 2-year-old daughter , is said to have traveled by car from the home of her partner, who is also under investigation at large for the same crime, to Bordighera with the body of the little girl, who had been dead for hours, on board.

The investigating judge is convinced of this and wrote it in the order with which he ordered the woman's arrest.

According to the investigators' reconstruction, the child died during the night between February 8th and 9th, between midnight and 2:00 a.m. When the woman called 911 at her home in Bordighera at 8:21 a.m., the judge said the child had already been dead for several hours.

"When she loaded her into the car," the arrest warrant states, " her youngest daughter had already been dead for six to eight hours . It seems unlikely that she didn't realize this when she picked her up from bed, put her in the car, picked her up again upon arriving home, and put her in the crib." And "after returning home, it took her seven minutes before requesting medical assistance." Furthermore, in the phone call, she pretended to have just woken up. "Such behavior is also discordant with the gravity of the facts" and "supports her responsibility for causing her daughter's death," the warrant continues.
