Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez said “yes” and exchanged wedding rings, officially husband and wife since late yesterday evening, in a ceremony at the Cini Foundation on the island of San Giorgio in Venice, closed off and inaccessible to the press and photographers.

Little is known about the wedding ceremony so far, except that the celebrations were kicked off by Matteo Bocelli (Andrea's son) who sang "Can't help falling in love". Outside the walls of the Cini Foundation, and in the lagoon, boats with photographers and operators awaited a photo opportunity . The rumors the day before spoke of a finale with fireworks, which however were not seen.

Before arriving at the Cini, the Grand Canal had transformed into a sort of "Oscar evening" on the water, with a congestion of motorboats and security vehicles , to escort the various DiCaprios, Orlando Blooms, the Kardashian family, with Kirk, Kim and Khloè to the wedding. Among the least friendly was certainly Leonardo DiCaprio, who always kept his cap pulled down on his head to avoid being photographed.

In recent days, with Venice under lockdown, many have protested the founder of Amazon. A march by “No Bezos” activists is planned for this afternoon, which should reach the Rialto Bridge .
