Roofs uncovered, flooding, collapsed roads: the regions of central and northern Italy overwhelmed by the fury of bad weather.

In Milan the Seveso flooded during the night after a violent storm with thunder, a lightning storm and gusts of wind. There are many inconveniences in the city, with Viale Fulvio Testi, an important access artery to the centre, closed to car transit.

Violent disturbance also hit Tuscany , with a whirlwind that hit Viareggio and Versilia "with gusts over 100km/h and roofs uncovered". In Torre del Lago the tornado would have crossed the center of the town, causing various damage. Damage also occurred in Lido di Camaiore (Lucca) where fallen trees were recorded.

Inconveniences also occurred on the Brenner motorway , currently closed northwards to the state border due to a landslide that hit the artery on Austrian territory during the night. Between Bressanone and Vipiteno there was a queue of heavy vehicles from the first light of the morning.

Maximum alert also in Emilia Romagna , where schools remained closed in many locations. The greatest critical issues, at the moment, are concentrated in the areas of Parma and Piacenza . Yesterday morning a bridge over the Taro in Ozzanello, in the municipality of Terenzo, partially collapsed due to the flooding of the river.
