A wartime arsenal, high-powered explosives, burner cell phones (so-called disposable phones without internet connection), and cash. This is what the Carabinieri seized during raids on May 19th last year, fifty days after the attack on Battistolli's armored vehicles on the Aurelia state road, in the San Vincenzo area, in the province of Livorno .

The Livorno prosecutor's office and the Florence DDA have closed their investigations into 12 people (11 in custody, one at large) accused of being part of the gang that spread terror on March 28, 2025, stealing €4.6 million. The stub and wiretaps proved fatal.

A well-structured group, with experience in the use of war weapons and in committing robberies.

During the searches, the soldiers found 5 rifles, a pistol, 1,500 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, over 200 grams of military explosives, 1.5 kilos of civilian explosives (of the quarry type), 5 fuses, 20 thousand euros in cash, several smartphones, balaclavas and bulletproof vests.
