Following a major operation inside a greenhouse, the Imperia Financial Police seized 928 marijuana plants and over half a ton of dried hemp inflorescences. The dried hemp inflorescences contained a THC level exceeding the legal limit for industrial cannabis cultivation.

The warehouse was part of a farm and was discovered while two people were cleaning and sorting the hemp inflorescences contained in over seventy drums . House searches led to the discovery of additional containers containing pre-packaged hemp ready for shipment.

The two were reported by the Guardia di Finanza for the crime of illicit production, trafficking and possession of narcotic substances mainly intended for the industrial sector, which would have brought in around 250 thousand euros on the black market.
