The Guardia di Finanza has confiscated assets totaling €2 million from the laundering of the earnings of Felice Maniero, believed to be the head of the Mala del Brenta mafia, carried out by a convicted accomplice.

The Foreign Exchange Police Unit, together with financial police from Florence and Venice, executed a confiscation order issued by the Court of Venice and seized two buildings in the provinces of Florence and Lucca, five cars, jewelry, and valuable paintings placed under judicial administration.

But also bank accounts and the contents of safety deposit boxes from two banks in Empoli, which contained 90,000 euros in cash and 15 luxury watches.
